Great Bend Doesnt have it All!

Small town Great Bend, Kansas is a home away from home for a lot of us students at Barton.  Out of the wide variety of cities across the country, how did we end up in small town, Kansas? A lot of students here at Barton, are on sports scholarships. Coming from a big city surrounded by snowboarders, skiers, mountain bikers, water parks, tall buildings and endless amounts of places to eat, Great Bend, Kansas is missing a lot of action. Some advice from studnts here at barton are, make some friends who are from Great Bend and have them show you what Great Bend is about! Adjust to the “small town” lifestyle and make the most of what’s here! Heres a short list of things to do in your free time around Great Bend:

  • Great Bend Zoo

  • Visit the Animal Shelter

  • Movie Theater
