In my fall 2013 story, "iPhone 5c and iPhone 5s: Are they worth it," I was talking about the new iPhones that had recently been released.  I concluded that the cost was not justifiable for the iPhone 5s. The phone that I ultimately choose was the Nokia Lumia 928. This phone comes with the Windows Phone 8 operating system.

One of the pro’s for the Nokia is that it has twice as much storage as my former phone without having to put out more money for more storage. Another pro is that it is the cheapest of any of the three phones I considered.

The upside for the Windows Phone is that it is easy to operate, especially if you are used to the Windows operating system. Another plus is that you can sync your iTunes playlists to the Windows Phone.  One of the downsides is that there are not a lot of apps in its store.  As a result, I continue to carry my iPod touch with all of its apps.

I asked why other students chose the phone they use.  Tyler Crawford said, “I went with an Android phone because my cell carrier had that phone as the only 4G phone.”
