Casino Night

It’s gambling time! Barton students enjoyed an entertaining night on
Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014. There were six blackjack tables and one craps
table, giving the Casino Night a big bang!
Students started out by signing in and getting $5000 of Barton Bucks.
They could build up their amount by betting $500-$2000. Each time they
won, they got that amount back or doubled it if they received the winning
hand.
As students were gambling away, there was also a silent auction. Students
could bid for an item they wanted. The prizes at the silent auction were things
any college student could use to make the college experience more enjoyable.

“It’s really awesome that Barton can have the opportunity to do this for
students,” said sophomore, Dallas Munden.
The variety of prizes included towels, bathroom carriers with shampoo/etc., a TV, rugs, microwave, and much more. Students were only allowed one item from the silent auction table. Any money not used in the silent auction was available for use to bid on items in the live auction, including useful items such as Walmart gift cards- amounts ranging from $50 to $125.
“It was really fun and I liked this event,” said sophomore, Jennica O’Neill
Many Barton Students left with prizes and memories to add to their college experience.
